One of the first things we do at Red Cherry whether it be a website, app or complex software build is build or Information Architecture (IA).  The information architecture is the road map to all our projects. For instance with a website it defines what pages will be on the website, how your personas (clients, employees) flow from one page to the next and processes involved (like a sign up process). When looking at a completed IA it should be very clear what we have ahead in terms of scope, messaging and what your personas can expect.  By defining this early on it helps keep projects on track and keep our clients vision clearly explained to us.  It’s amazing the wealth of ideas that are sprung from and IA and how all-simple tasks and flows are recognized up front. 

Being able to clearly define all your business processes in a clear documented IA will allow your website, app or software build to lead to success. In our four-phased agile approach we always start first with an IA and go from there. Making sure the IA is solid before any wire framing takes place and even before any designs are created. This is how we have built over 500 successful website builds over the last 12 years and will continue to do for years to come.
